Hugh Dennis did us the great honour of opening our new facilities on St George’s Day.

He spoke highly of the school and its role in the community, acknowledging the importance of primary education.  Following the dance by Y2, a pageant of history and some lovely singing by soloists and the whole school, Hugh cut the ribbon. The Bishop of Portsmouth then blessed the building. We were all delighted as governors and parents joined our celebrations for our new-look school. All pupils were involved in a variety of activities around the school. We had science investigations, fairytale theatre, St George and the dragon story telling with puppets plus the assembly in which the children performed marvellously, especially as we only had two days to pull it together.
