Our School

St George’s Beneficial C of E Primary School is a thriving mainstream school for children aged 3-11 years, providing excellent teaching and pastoral care.  Being a church school we abide by a Christian ethos and have strong links with the local church.

We offer a safe and secure environment in which every child is nurtured to achieve their full potential and we create a close knit school community. Our experienced staff are dedicated to providing stimulating fun experiences suitable for each child’s individual needs.

We are fortunate in being able to offer places to children from 3 years of age thus giving our Early Years a stable start to their school journey.  In these first two years the children stay in their class with the same adults building relationships and trust whilst enjoying the facilities which only a school can offer.

We see enrichment principal to the development of children. As such we offer, visits, trips and engage many visitors.  We host at least one full drama production a year staged by theatre groups. We send our children sailing and on a residential and open the door for talent through our extra- curricular clubs, music specialist and every child has the opportunity to appear in a theatrical production at least once a year.  Being a church school we join together weekly for collective worship as well as for major Christian celebrations.

We add value to our pupils lives through essential skills, creative topics relevant to their lives and broaden their horizons through use of creative partners who are integral to our developing media studies part of our curriculum.  By embracing many experiences for social, moral, spiritual and cultural opportunities we enrich our curriculum. We are proud of our good Ofsted status and our outstanding diocese rating, knowing that our role is to give our pupils the best possible start in life.
